I usually ride norther Maine and have only had very minor starting issues if any, most have been from a weak or old battery. Recently on two bagger trips to Canada I had noticed irregular behavior while starting and at idle. Most of the locations I fill up with fuel in Maine have 91 or 93 octane nonethenal fuel. Couldn’t find any 93 octane and nothing was labeled nonethenal in Canada. In the morning I noticed ice underneath my aluminum gas cap and thru out the day I noticed moisture. All five sleds in the group had the same ice and moisture. Some of the sleds had to be jump started every morning, -30f. Started using a very small amount of dry-gas once a day and it cleared up the moisture and any minor issues I was having. Sometimes it’s the simple things that can cause what appears to be a major issue.
