Hey everyone new to sleds and new to forum, names Mike, I have a 14 xtx. Im 6'5" and feel like im leaning over my bars when I stand. Any info on what I would need to do and what risers/bars to run would be greatly appreciated. I believe theres a 6 inch riser now so maybe a 10 inch would suffice??? Thanks in advance!

Hey Big Mike, Welcome to TY!!
How do you ride? Do you ride trail mostly or off trail most of the time ?
I am 6-3, with my boots probably 6-4 and the vertical steering found on the MTX is the way to go if you stand a lot. I use the 2 inch block but you might need the 3inch. Here is some more info if you want to go that route.

I have a 6-8 adjustable on myn and there is plenty of cable to go to 8. on 8 there is still a lot of slack on the cables so im sure a 10 would fit in there fine.

Im just shy of 6' tall but stand alot on my 14 xtx I found my stock riser too short too,I found a great deal on a ski doo adjustable one.. it basically bolted on with minimal about of work, it's taller than the stock one on the lowest position, and I wanna say 8"ish on tallest

Thanks for the responses guys, I ride mostly trail up in Rangely Maine but im sure with the group of guys i ride with we will be off-trail as well. so im standing for the most part but being this tall is making standing very awkward. and unstable being this low. Stock i believe is 6 inches so I thought a 10 might fix my issue. Other then that I put 175 miles in 1 day on boney whoops trails and loved every second of it. Very impressed with the suspension. Just wish I was more on my feet.
Also does anyone run a bigger diameter grip or bar? I have big hands also and the stock diameter is doing a number on my hands from gripping them. Didn't know if anyone did a renthal conversion or something. Thanks again in advance.

The big advantage of the vertical steering is the bars stay level when you turn right or left instead of dropping down lower. If I remember right it's about $220ish worth of parts from Yamaha. I would recommend sitting on a MTX if you can find one at a local dealers showroom floor so you can see the difference. I am pretty sure you're going to love it.
