Have a viper xtx with 1.75 backcountry track , running around 270hp , which is snapping belts every 100 miles or so . Straight 47 helix , white secondary 0/1 , blue brown blue primary . dalton weights .
Also have stock 43 helix and a 51/43 helix , purple epi secondary and red dalton secondary which haven't used yet . also plan to change to super tip weights . Looking for some help on stoping the belt snapping .?

Yes stock 8jp belt , did u machine your clutches ?

No, machining will only allow for more top end, if and when you have perfect conditions and a lot of power, no other benefits other than top speed. I never had an issue with the 8jp belt until I did a turbo on mine, they don't do well with the added power. Before you do clutching changes I'd get an 8dn belt on there and see how it holds up.

I actually had a 8dn belt on there and snapped that too , though machining might help

do you need to adjust where the weight is in your clutch kit to get more clamp on the belt? a belt will let go when it gets to hot and that is caused by friction. That generally only comes from not enough clamp pressure on primary clutch from weight placement or spring pressure, or from a misalignment in the clutches. you could also be slipping in the secondary causing friction heat. do you have and rubber on the sheaves when it blows? I am a clutching novice so I don't have much more to offer maybe someone will chime in on your set up. I think tip weight is how you get more clamp force.

I've always had great results with the stock 43 helix, I've tried different helix's but always go back to the stock one for the main purpose that it is very consistent no matter what the riding conditions are. I did run a straight 47 a bit last year and dialed weights in for that setup with optimum traction but as soon as it would loose traction at all it would shift out too quick and pull rpm down which would cause a lot of belt heat. With the stock 43 I never had that issue.

I am having the same issues with my 270 mtx. Snapping belts have tried multiple things. Go stock secondary and dalton wieghts. Daltons are maxed out in wieght so I might have to get some heavier weights
