As stated above, have stock setup now other than drag n fly's. I want to keep the stock muffler due to state laws. I see the header made by excell and hindle, but that's not enough, has hurricane put out real numbers on porting. Just looking for some other ideas for a summer project. I am putting a cobra and extroverts on over the summer now.

IMO...you wont get 20hp with a stock muffler....even with porting....the stock muffler is too restrictive. The system needs to flow to make HP. I know Dave can make gains with head porting and I'm sure he will chime in, but I still think you need to let it breath to make HP. You can get a different muffler option for the Hindle system now...a 20" with a different core and it is very quiet. I have been testing it since the beginning of the season and thinks it's the best option...you can get it in a full hidden version...I've been stopped a couple times by the police and nobody even took a second look.

Mach9 made 18.6 more hp with the Hindle/Hurricane kit...by adding the 20" muffler you may lose a half hp if that. If you want 20hp...I would say the exhaust I recommended with the Hurricane kit and head porting....I would guess at 25-28hp for that setup.

Just add a 180 turbo kit.... Much easier to install than the other mods you mentioned.

I think 180 hp would be perfect in the Nytro. Wish they'd sell it from factory, I'd buy it regardless of the price. (just don't tell the wife). I 'm finding now that most of issues are taken care of, I'm wishing it had 20-30 more horses as well.

To get 20 hp with the stock muffler you'd have to spend a lot of money, and you might not even make it. Header, filters, programmer, head work...and I doubt you'd be there.

180 hp turbo kit, into the stock muffer, for just a couple grand more is your best bet. Not sure why you don't think it would hold up to your riding.

How well are these turbo kits mounted? I'm afraid of parts breaking off from the shock of riding 2,3 or even 4 footers . Are they that durable?

Have same ? Will turbo hold up to big Tug Hill moguls . Dont want to have to weld up parts after a weekend of pounding on the sled .

Talked to Dave at Hurricane for more hp.
This is what he said: ''I think that 160 is echievable out of the nytro with head porting. It would make a good summer project. The head mod will cost $800''

I see that G-force is making a nytro-charger, but know one has chimed in if the have gotten one yet or how well they work. From the minimal info there is on it , it only works on top end . But you clutch your sled for say 8700-8800 rpm (where is supposed to work). I wish someone would chime in that has one. I'd like to know how durable the 180hp kit from ulmer is also.

The Nytro-charger has been discussed plenty on here...originally it said it would work only at higher speeds...60 or 80 mph and on...which is usless if you want it for corner to corner type running...it's meant more for blasting across a lake and even then it doesn't come into play until your really moving. You'd be better getting a full turbo or SC...personally after running the Hindle/ Hurricane setup...I don't need any more power...I have a low end, mid range animal right now. That set up has made my sled unreal, the pull to 1000' is awsome.

Problem with that is the stock muffler, my buddy just got a ticket other day because he had a excell exhaust on his attack. They didn't even check db level, just saw that it wasn't stock and wrote the ticket for modified exhaust.
