Building a collection one sled at a time
My bud has a Warrior with quite a noticeable rattle from the primary at idle;once the revs come up it goes away.We put in a Heelclicker kit last year and to be honest I cant remember if the rattle was there prior to that or not so I cant be sure if it was only since the mod to the clutch.I tried to move the weights around on the pins as well as the rollers to check for slack in the bushings but pressure from the spring was restricting most movement so the next step is to take it off and pull it apart. It seems to be bothering him a bit, understandably,so we'd like to trace it down and wondered if someone could shed any light here.

What he said .
Went to 1,650 rpm on mine and the rattle disappeared.
Also you can get the choke off faster on a cold start with the idle cranked up a bit I find.

the rattle is normal
yamaha has a kit you can install that will reduce it. it does require taking the clutch apart
