Last weekend after starting my warrior for the first time in the morning, I noticed black specs all over the snow behind the sled, some on the top of the tunnel extention and just outside the exhust pipe on the inside of the exhust tip. I touched some of the spots on the tunnel top and it didn't feel like oil and didn't really have a smell. Felt more like water. I have 2300 miles on the motor and I've never noticed the discharge before. I'm concerned but don't know if its a problem or not.

Also, drive belt is sqealing at engagement, thru and up to about 10 mph (that I can hear). But the belt is riding within spec in the secondary. The sound is becoming more noticable as milage increases.

Any ideas, thoughts??

Thanks.

Changed belt. Sqeal gone. New sound. Hi pitch wine at idle. Sounds like sound is coming from the secondary. Belt is sitting rigth on secondary. Only put 1 mile on new belt. Had to put sled in garage and head home. Never heard a sound like that before. What the heck is going on? :o|

Mine did it new and when I just put a belt on. A day of riding will cure that.

Those black specs are DIRTY WATER. Water is the product of combustion, black is the product of incomplete combustion. Mix them together and you get black specs.

Once the exhaust warms up, you will have few or no specs from the exhaust at idle.
