20 plus years with Polaris and never had to be towed. In fact never had a repair other then routine wear items. Was riding yesterday and all of a sudden coolant started to pour out the bottom of the sled. Can not tell yet where it is coming from. Worst part was, I had to be towed by a Cat, a four stroke in fact. Good part was, I went riding today and used my son's Polaris XC, I almost forgot how good those Polaris corner and ride. Rode 150 miles, and 120 yesterday before I had a problem. I will post later, when I find out what happened.

Gordon, if you are studded I would bet heat exchanger. Can't think of any other reason your sled would start leaking suddenly after all those miles you've logged.

One of my freinds warriors one of the coolent hoses came off and it leaked out the antifreeze.

My my 2003 track ripped from studs and tore out the front exhanger.

flyin high,
How do you know it would take 20 hours to change a water pump? Does this include 8 hours sleep, time for meals, a trip to the movies, and servicing your girlfriend?
