Put on 330 miles this weekend.First issue 2nd ride about 500 miles on sled.Saturday at first sled would rev to about 9500 and creep to 10,000 ran great then about an hour later would rev to 9000 and creep to 9500 a little later would only rev to 8800 and creep to 9000.Got my A$$ handed to me by ZRT 800 and my old SRX 600 from dead stop to roll at 20mph to 60 mph to top end didn't matter.Seemed to run fine but this happened first ride out so I stopped and put another $25 worth of plugs in.Rpms came back up 9500 .Finally could slowly creep away from the 600 but the 800 would steadly pull away even on top end .Very disapointed.Clutching all stock.HH"s on the way.My question is why do I keep fouling plugs. They all look fine when I took them out and the sled runs okay it's just flat on the top.Traction was not good I'm not studded and buddies both are.I prety sure I was spining a lot more then them.Didn't think the ripsaw worked as good as it should but snow was very loose with ice underneath.

That's your problem with hookup. Stud it!

I raced an 04 REV 800 HO after a hard break in! On a lake in Canada in a 1/2 mile, we where dead even on three seperate races. I had about 700 miles on my sled at the time, I was showing 113MPH on the speedo. Here is a key ingredient (low fuel light was on). The next day the temp dropped down to 5 degrees and on the same 1/2 mile I got 120 MPH on the speedo.

Mighty I'll let you test the studs for me first then maybe I will stud it.I like it unstudded so far and I still wonder whats going to happen when I'm going 90 and hit a bump and bottom out is there enough room dealer dosen't think so.After riding this weekend you might better get your hh's ordered.Stock clutching typical Yamaha very conservative.Dealer said I 'm using to much choke when starting it thats the plug problem.Thats what I expected to here.Love the reverse (beep, beep)Trails in the UP were pretty good to excellent.

I will take a pic later I found some light scratches on my tunnel underneath where it looks like my picks lightly touched on a big bump. I am 260 pounds and sometimes I ride with my daughter on 2 up she is another 100 pounds. As I said very light scratches not gouges or digs so I think most people would be OK

You beat me or I would have them ordered
I hear ya loud and clear. It's just been a tight year for me and every dollar adds up. I'm waiting for some tips for enhancing the stock clutching.

Did some racing on my extended 03 shorty with the Ripsaw this past weekend. I have HC's and geared down one tooth, sled is riding and hooking up awesome, I love the new track. The results were...I beat everyone in our group except for a friends F7 which was running freakishly fast, nobody could stay with him! Here is a list of sleds that ran:
2 03 RX-1's, both clutched, one geared down 2 teeth, both stock tracks w/192 studs
2 F7's(one is the freak, the other I beat)
ZR 800 EFI
ZR 800 Carb
Stock RX-1
Summit 800
ZR 900
Then my sled- 03 136" Hartman. Ripsaw w/128 1.4" studs, HC's, geared down one tooth

Ive got 162 1.370 studs which are longer than mightys studs... and i have 338miles on the sled and IT THEY DONT HIT!!!
I am keeping the track just tight enought to keep the sled from ratcheting!

Not a problem and thanks. RXwonder is a good guy to deal with. I sold him my RX-1 jacket over the summer.

Guys, keep in mind that every stud maker measures them differently. You need to stick with a recommended brand and measurement that has been successful. Otherwise, you could wind up with a stud that's far too long.
