Those who studded did you add a 4th wheel ? Now that the winter is over what seems to be the magical number of studs to run I would like to run the minimum number with out a bounch of tear outs.Any concerns with the studs hitting. Thanks

Because of the added grip of the ripsaw I thought minimal studding just for ice would be fine. I figured 108 (2 per row like 96 on a 121 incher) down the middle would work fine. I didn't like the looks of the big gap between studs on every third row so I added 1 extra there for a total of 126. I used 1.325 Woody's megabites and thought they worked great. No clearence issues and I did not add the 4th wheel, saw no reason to do so.

Mighty that is what I was thinking since the ripsaw got good bite just some extra stopping power and a little more bite for those really hard packed days. ;)!

I added 189 in a 3-4-3-4 pattern. Worked out good as I didn't have any bend, I did break 3 though. Added the 4th wheel when I put the studs on just because I had it already. If I didn't have it, I probably wouln't have gotten one.

I added the 4th wheel and ran 216 studs on my Warrior. Did not have any break or pull through. Just be carfull if you use the doulble aluminum square bakers from Woodys. If you run them down the middle you will hit your front shock with them. The angle on the back of the studs hit the front shock.
