We are threatened on a land access restriction for Wisconsin!!!

Please email the following standard response letter to senator: 'Sen.Wirch@legis.wisconsin.gov'

Subject: Please Oppose S. 3213
Dear Senator Wirch,
As a constituent and a member of Americans for Responsible Recreational Access I write in opposition to the National Landscape Conservation System Act and urge you to vote no on S. 3213.
As you know S. 3213 includes the provisions of S. 1139 that would statutorily establish the National Landscape Conservation System (NLCS). I am concerned that statutorily establishing the NLCS would result in legitimate recreation being locked out from large swaths of public lands. In addition, now is not the time to rush to pass NLCS legislation in light of the recent launch of a Department of Interior (DOI) investigation of the existing NLCS division of the Bureau of Land Management.

Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,

I sent one as well and got a response.

"Dear Don: Thank you for your email concerning S. 3213. Since this proposal is federal legislation, as a State Senator I will not have a vote on it. However, I am sure your federal representatives would be very interested in your comments. In the meantime, if I can be of assistance to you in matters of state government, I hope you will continue to keep me informed. Thank you again for taking the time to write."

22nd District

We might need to look deeper.

I just got this back:

Dear Jesse: Thank you for your email concerning S. 3213. Since this is federal legislation, as a state senator, I will not be voting on it. I am sure your federal representatives will be interested in hearing your thoughts on it, however. In the meantime, if I can be of assistance to you in matters of state government, I hope you will continue to keep me informed. Thank you again for taking the time to write.

Bob Wirch
State Senator
22nd District

I could be mistaken but I think we need to send this to Russ Feingold and Herb Kohl.

I too received a similar reply as the above but mine said Dear Steve.
