Ok, Michigan did not have alot of snow last year and my Slides melted down to the skid. :o| Some wear has occured on the skid up front mostly. There is still some lip for the slides to bit on. Is this going to cause any problems? Also the clips are pretty rough and I was thinking of changing them. How hard is it to change the clips and should I fully clip the track while changing the others out?

Yes fully clip it...its not hard to cut out the windows ...I did mine. Just get a good tool to do it they are about $90

Plus put bigger wheels like the excell or Schmidt brothers

As long as you still have some lip there you will be ok. Just have to keep an eye on the slides alittle bit. Maybe invest in some wheel kit for up front. I think Ulmer sells a kit.

What and where did you get your tool from? And where did you get your clips too or what kind so I need for the stock ripsaw?

Parts unlimited or Marshall or ebay sells the track clip tool...I got my clips from Marshall here in Michigan...and used a knife to cut holes out didn't take very long at

I would put a wheel kit on or put polaris wheels on those hyfax saver kit from yamaha don't work just puts the wear higher up on the curve (or higher on the hyfax)

Bigger wheels only way to go

Thanks guys. I do have some lip and did go ahead and put the new slide on. I have looked at schimdt brothers and will buy later next year. Going to buy a clucth kit from them and tunnel block off for now. Now all I have to do is wait for the snow to fall.
