Well I finally got to ride my new 2006 RTX this past weekend. The rear suspension is near perfect (thanks pioneer !), the Fox Floats at 65 are also near perfect (my go to 55). The problem I have is how heavy the steering is when slowing down. At speed it turns well. I'm guessing I need to adjust the transfer rod, I just don't want it too light at speed. Any suggestions?

Adjusting the transfer will only effect steering during acceleration and deceleration, at constant speed it will have virtually no effect on steering.

Newbie Question here?
When drive at a constant speed of ~45 in a near straight line.
I have very little steering. I would like to add just a little ski preasure at this point. Everything is set to stock settings.
Is this transfer or limiter strap?
ON a totaly different note. Friend would like his Apex to pick the ski up at full throttle.... Is this transfer or limiter strap?

Question 1: Limiter strap. Try shortening it a notch and see if it improves. Type of carbides/skis/ski savers will also have massive impact on this...maybe even more than the strap. If you're still running stock skis with the stock 3 inch carbides, I believe you will find that combo is your biggest problem.
Question 2: Transfer. AND to a lesser degree, limiter strap also. Set to max transfer and lengthen the limiter strap and he can pull wicked wheelies right up until he hits the tree, since he will have zero turning ability.

I see said the blind man.
On question 1: Stock skis, Begstrom Good&Ugly type3 6", Ski Savers, Shimmed.
I will pull it in 1 notch and see how it runs the weekend of the 24th.....

aluminum cylinder looking part that runs from the bottom of the rear arm to the bottom of the front arm. the tool to adjust/measure it should be in your toolbox

you cat take the transfer rod out all together. people here have done it. then she'll stand on end

the tighter you make the limiter strap the more ski pressure you have. less ski lift. if you loosen the limiter strap the more ski lift.

adjust you shock pressure so that you a arms are level with the ground. loosen your limiter strap one hole. that will put more pressure on the front of the track and off the skisturbine man said:I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM TO HEAVY OF STEERING SHOCKS ARE DOWN TO 45 LBS NOW SLED SITS TO LOW IN THE FRONT 07 RTX WITH GT MONO SHOCK THANKS JEFF
What makes a 03 RX1 fishtail under acceleration? Transfer rods are set on the 2nd line. Cannot turn in the corners either. Stock skis and shocks and a arms are level with the ground. I haven't looked at the straps yet. I know i was out class today in the woods bad and don't like it.

not sure why you'd take it out and expect the suspension to operate correctly?
