I had a couple guys ask me about the weight transfer blocks that I removed, so here is what I know so far:

You can almost feel them go "bang" when you're trying to get the skis of the ground, so I looked to see if there would be any damage taking them out.

I know quite a few Nytro guys who have taken theirs out also.

Where I live there is almost nothing for trails, so skis up is a lot of fun.

Obviously not good for tight trails.

It looks like the rear suspension will hit the 3rd wheel in the middle, so I put some white paint on it to see if any rubbed off onto the wheel. Nothing I could see.

The pic shows an arrow, that is the piece I was concerned about. My finger is pointing to where the stopper block was.

Worked good for me and now it lifts the front real easy, you don't even have to stand up. Fun for you "Hot-Dogger" types....like me.

I am now keeping them in my spare belt container, just incase I need to put them back on when I'm out riding.

I have some Arctic Cat blocks on mine, but that was to limit the transfer, which helped a ton getting on the gas exiting a corner, or maybe even in the apex it'd still hold. Like you said, depends on your trails, conditions, snow, etc.

Do you think this mod would benefit deep snow performance at all?

Never felt the need to on my MTX, I run the second to loosest holes on the limiter strap and have no issues popping the front up in powder OR hardpack. I still wonder why Yamaha used such a stiff torsion spring on the shorty sleds (stiffer than the Nytro options), the weak MTX springs (1700nm) put me right in the sweet spot for suspension sit-in and allow the rear arm to compress easier (easy wheelies)

Yup my bagged out 13000 mi springs on my shorty are just perfect now. Good to know the MTX springs are lighter rate. Never knew that.

Alot depends on your wieght also. I can get front up when I want. Daughter can barely do it. But had a 280 lb? buddy ride it and he almost went over backwards! Bumper is only thing that saved him.
