Weight Transfer Rod Adjustment

I just bought a 2011 nytro XTX and the weather has been terrible so I have very little saddle time. We are gearing up for a 2 day trip and I'd like to set the rods for max weight transfer. Do I thread the rods out/lengthen to increase transfer? I tried this last weekend and I seemed to get less transfer, but the suspension was pretty iced up and the conditions were brutal. Posts on this forum seem contradictory so I assume some folks are running aftermarket skids.
 
I think I got it figured out...it was as I suspected. If you look near the rear shock there are a pair of nuts. These nuts control the transfer rods. Loosen the each top nut (lock nut) and then adjust the bottom nut. Moving the nuts up, toward the seat, will lessen transfer and help keep the skis down. Adjusting down, toward the ground will give more transfer and promote wheelies. There are lines on the shaft. Make sure to adjust both nuts equally. If you adjust the nuts to far up you will see a red painted band. DO NOT GO INTO THE RED. meaning no red should show. I think there are only three lines. Half a line makes a HUGE different so make small adjustments.
 
That's why there's confusion...can you imagine explaining this to someone not mechanically inclined or who's never looked at their suspension closely?

I have mine set for full transfer and still get very little ski lift. I only weigh about 175 with full gear so that's probably why.
 
I also think the confusion comes from the monoshock versus the setup on the Nytro.

The reason I was asking is exactly as oldman winter stated - I am getting poor transfer regardless of how I adjust the rods and was doubting myself. I am 175Ibs. I wasn't sure if I was making the adjustment properly. I may turn up the preload on the centre shock and see if that helps.
 
I've been there. The previous owner had mine set up with almost full preload on the center spring which gives too much ride height and causes both ski lift in the corners and excessive sag in the rear. I loosened mine off to close to factory setting and its better and am considering loosening a little more. I'm not complaining, I can get the ski's to come up a little when I need it but there is not way it will do any sort of wheelie
