The lake was flat ice with snow patches. I was trying to do top end runs but too much track spin. At 110 mph the sled nosed over, figured I blew a belt. Basically the sled went into neutral, secondary would spin freely. I put it in reverse, heard a clunk and it moved in reverse no problem. Hit the button again and it went into forward gear no problem. Sled was fine after that. Rode another 50 miles which included drag racing and had no problems. Sled goes forward and reverse like normal. Should I be concerned?
Happend to me once but trail riding 50-60mph pulled over thought it was a belt also, hit the button for reverse worked fine then back forward everthing was fine put 400 miles on it since not happend again. The lake was flat ice with snow patches. No. Killed the sled. Restarted and wouldn't move. Put it in reverse and it made a big clunk sound. Put it in forward and sled ran fine.

I had this happened to my Viper but didn't die. It was the reverse actuator detent spring pops out. Took it in and the dealer said that.

mine did it at 45 miles - its an assembly error at A C - remove reverse motor - reinstall spring making sure to compress spring - install to home position - assemble. the spring has to be seated correctly. if not - it will do this.

Is there a video on how to reinstall that actuator? Does it need to be preloaded?

Not sure if there's a video, maybe someone will find one to post for you. When you install the reverse actuator back into place it seats it's self pretty much to the left of the bolt holes, maybe an 1/8" roughly (never really paid attention) so then what you do is twist while pushing down on the actuator clockwise (preload), with bolts ready to thread back into the actuator keep pressure to keep them lined up and reinstall bolts by hand finger tight. Once all bolts are tightened up good and snug or torqued start up the sled lift the track and cycle through reverse and forward a few times. Is there a video on how to reinstall that actuator? Does it need to be preloaded?

Your handbook that came with sled, has details for remounting the actuator, how it should be clocked, sounds like your sled jumped into neutral.
