I just could not help myself and my addiction in spending money on my sleds. I ordered the Hygear rear suspension kit for my sled. Comes with two fully adjustable shocks, and a new linkage kit. I was going to wait until the fall, but hey, life is short. I will get out again once the install is completed and give you my thoughts of the difference in ride and handling. It feels so good to get a fix. I have a very bad habit of looking at this site, it has costed me 1,000's of dollars over the years.

I just got back from an hour or so of testing. I installed the Hygear 141 track kit and the two rear Axis shocks. I rode a paved road that is closed for the winter. It had plenty of snow and was groomed last night. The temps were in the 40's on a bright sunny day. I got to the trail at 12:00 and they had some washboard and a couple of small woops starting. This by no means was rough. The suspension was set in the middle of compression and rebound. I was traveling at 50 and the washboard section gave me too much chatter or bucking front to back. I turned down the front shock compression two clicks and i think i dialed 90% of that feel out. The next item on the list was to make the suspension more plush or not so stiff. I turned the rear clicker down two clicks. That made a difference, but not enough. I turned another two clicks and I think I am 90% there for the conditions. I found a good sized dropout and I hit that several times and the sled went through that with ease. At one point I was clipping along and look down at my speedo and it read 75. I could not believe i was going that fast on the trials. My conclusion is that from the little I road today, I am more confident than ever with this suspension and will work as it is supposed. I don't have to cringe when I see bumps. The sled is rock solid. The old setup was very soft and when you hit a bump, you would wince because it would not suck it up. I have a ways to go to dial it in 100%, but at least I know I can. Looking forward to ordering the fronts this summer. My take away is the feel of my sled is very stout and sturdy. It also felt taller seeing it did not sag or squat like it did before.

Kinger, my thoughts exactly. This should be in the regular Sidewinder section. I think it would be more traffic and feedback.
