Nice sled! Had I bought a Yamaha this year that would have been the one. I like the white and red. Good luck with it. Oh and where did you get the speeding tickets and how fast were you going?

100mph and 105mph in a 35mph or 50km zone. All the trails in Ontario have a 50kmhr speed limit. It's kind of a joke. The trails in Ontario are long, flat and wide. It's not uncommon to cruise 70-90mph all day...

I ride Ontario all the time. We ride from New Liskeard to Cachrane-Hearst-Wawa-Chapleau-Timmins and we never had a problem with speeding tickets. We ride the trails between 50-75 mph most of the time with 100 mph bursts here and there. We only made it to the Sault once. I met a OPP officer in Hearst a few years ago and he gave me one of his cards. He said to watch your speeds near the populated areas and you won't have any problems. We just ride sane speeds around towns and other sleds. Been riding Ontario for over 24 years and never got a ticket. :-o I hope I didn't just jinx myself! ;):D

move to manitoba
no such thing as speeding tickets on a sled.
i can come to you & dial it in
very low trail traffic.

Congratulations on the XTX, great choice!! I have been tempted to buy a Nytro XTX as well. I like the performance of my Apex very much but once it's sold I feel either a 121" or a XTX will be my choice. Let's see how much you modify this ride ;)!

No, it's not... There's just a bunch of dick heads want to be cops that patrol north of the city and this part of the system has some good straight stretches where you can can really get on it... If you run from Hearst to the Sault you will be alright... The Sault is bad, Blind River and some portions of Sudbury from what I hear. But for the most part it's pretty good and usually don't see to many cops... The funny thing is these guys all know my sled, since there are only a couple around like mine and mine is modded and looks different from a stocker and definetly out runs one... Even if I'm not speeding they still pull me over and they are the same group of stop officers just bust my balls.. I mean one time I was in a field going less than 15 mph with my Apex and my 3 year daughter on it and my wife on her sled and they pulled me over and asked for our credials. Not even on a groomed trail and a portion of this field is conservation and the other is private... Scared my daughter half to death...

Kinda makes you feel like taking along a jousting stick. I agree with speed limits in certain areas of danger and posting signs of blind spots over hills. Safety should always be a concern, but to setup a trap on long straights. I've never heard of an accident on open areas like this. Just because they can I guess,....dixs. And this directly affects your drivers license. That's 110 kph over. When's your court dates. Again...dixs.

No it does not effect your license.. It's just a straight fine..

I thought it did. Still a kick in the pants though. I only saw them once, two years back, and I didn't stop for them. Now they are in the bushes around here and jump out and hit your kill switch. Hence the jousting pole.

Do you pay on the spot, or do you send it in, in Canada?

No, you being from the U.S. I doudbt there is nothing they could do if you did not pay it, since it does not effect your licence. No you don't pay on the spot.. You have to pay at a Ontario district court office, fine collection..
