Went to the dealer today

Gents, once the snow flies and people get out there, I'm quite certain your anticipations will be answered with a whole bunch of 'awesome'!

Rest assured, there are a large number of sleds out there with Curve XS skis, our recommended carbide configuration and a full tank of gas; ready to rip. For those who would like some reassurance, it will come soon enough ;)!

Steve, I sent Zach an email last week and offered him any help or assistance he needed.

Quick question. What is the main difference between the Curves, and the C&A Razor pro's. I do a lot of trail riding and was wondering; since I haven't tried either. I have C&A's now. but can't give an opinion. Hope I didn't make a mistake. I see a lot of guys on here with the Curves

The only one I have seen post anything about these skis is Mr. Sled! He does have a little time on them, and from what I remember he has some tuning to do........

That is the thing...everybody is going to have an opinion. There are people on here who say the stock skis are good enough and I think they are junk. The skis are going to be an opinion based on what you want and what type of riding you do.

How wide are the Curve XS skis? Are they going to going to offer better floatation??

From what I read they vary in width. They are wider at the front and back and narrower in the middle. It's kind of where they get their name.

I'm surprised at the amount of people that bought these things without getting any actual feedback. :dunno:

What sets Curve XS skis apart from any other aftermarket ski is our patented Continuously Variable Geometry. When the snow passes under a Curve XS ski, it doesn't stay on the same path it started on. The ski has different profiles across the bottom that do different things:

- The front of the ski has a high surface area, intake profile that grabs a whole bunch of snow.
- The snow is then channeled into a compaction profile under the spindle where it is formed into a rail on each side of the keel, giving your ski something to ride and hold on to.
- Once the rail is formed, it is held in that shape and used to guide the back of the keel maintaining steering stability and resisting the tendency to dart.
- The rail of snow then enters the ejection profile, is evacuated and sprayed into your skid for added cooling and lubrication.

Because of how the snow is handled once the skis captures it, a days changing conditions on or off trail negligibly affect how the ski performs on the whole, relative to the condition.

As for floatation, the Curve XS skis perform exceptionally well. Because there is an uneven load distribution across the ski bottom due to surface area variations normal to the ground, the ski does not ride parallel to mother earth. The tip is always higher and the spindle pivot area lower. Snow behaves more like a liquid than a solid in powder form... how do you get out of the water on water skis? Forward velocity, tips up and adequate surface area normal to the working fluid in which the load is being carried across. In powder, the snowmobile's dynamic on the whole is very stable. There is no porpoising or side to side roll.

Believe me when I tell you that every single facet of this ski has been a work of tedious engineering, R&D and perfectionism. We wouldn't settle for anything less. It's who Nick and I are as individuals and a company.

The ski measures 7.25" at the widest section of the intake, 5.50" in the compression area and 7" even at the flats along the tail.

We agree 100% that setup is the first thing you should play with prior to purchasing a set of aftermarket skis. Some people are quite comfortable with a fully OEM configuration once its been dialed. Plain and simple, what our skis will do is make your machine the best it can be AFTER you've adjusted it to your style, weight, conditions and hardware.

I'm not. I hated some of the 'new' Doo skis introduced over the years, while others liked them. I started out on a 71 skiroule. I (think :o| ) I know what I need when I see it.
This usually led to wondering why the ole fart smokes the boys daily on heavyweight turdmobiles (Machz triples, RX1's and Apex's). If you have no confidence in your handling, and an unpredictable front end (although the rear suspension can be blamed for some of this too), you just can't get those few extra mph's needed to turn misery into a riot. These curves would be something I'd build if I was smart enough..lol.
Nick and Sean know sled handling issues. This is a shot to solve many of them, with the widest possible margin. I can't wait....and some of the bud's are already worrying..LOL.

Problem is you can read 10 reviews that say something is great, then read ten reviews that say it sucks. Too many opinions out there. For me I was really stuck between the USI's and Curves. I did hours of research and in the end I called Curve's, it was after hours and I recieved a voice mail system. Five-ten minutes latter I got a call from Sean on his way home, I think it was around 6-7pm for them. Point is they seem to care about there business and product, going the extra mile. That, and the fact that the technology makes sense is what sold me. We should be able to give a good report this year as we will have, stock, USI's, Curve's, Stock Cats, SLP's, and what ever you end up going with SkyBoz.

Nick and I don't really have hours. We give you our cell phones and if we can answer we do. If we can't we call back immediately if not sooner. 6am or 11pm, it doesn't really matter.

I can't wait for you guys to get on some snow! The reality is, I already know what you are going to tell us because we wouldn't have spent all the time and money to release a product that wasn't able to raise the bar.

Hey, I'm not throwing you guys under the bus! All I'm saying is, is that two people that I know of on TY, have time on these skis. Without any other input from a broad range of customers there are a lot of people jumping in with two feet. From a business stand point, I'm very happy you guys are kicking some #*$&@. From a performance stand point, other than the science behind it and what you guys preech, no one truly knows! That's all!

Please don't mention "Cat" and Nytro in the same conversation. :tg:
