Was out ridding last night and my headlight went out then poped back on it was only about 3 sec. maybe ... well keeped riding then they went out again and stayed out hit high came back on said well low must have blown out my buddy said on both bulbs so we checked they looked good...the rest of the way home keeped going in and out only on low on high never went out .
So does the lights have a relay in the system or no . started it up and no low turn on high then back to low it will work ...I'm going to check out more tomorrow ..... And yes i no just keep it on high .... Does anybody have a thought on this

Does the headlight have power to it on low beam when it is not functioning?

It could be the contact in the high/low beam relay is corroded and causing you problems. I'd start by replacing it. The headlight relay gets it's power from the load control relay so if that had a problem you should also lose the high beams. Here is a diagram of the relays and their part numbers: http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=83992

Thanks grizz.....I'm thinking I should replace both the headlight and load

I doubt the headlights are bad. Follow Grizz's lead.

Edit: you mean the relays right? Just re-read.

Yes...relays .... It's never been on a trailer before or stayed out side but I guess water can get inside of relay and mess it up

Mine did the same thing this weekend, only the low beams would work, then nothing. Pushed the high/low switch a bunch of times and it came back and worked the rest of the trip. I put dielectric grease on all the connections last year but I think I will put these 2 relays in before it happens again. Thanks Grizz!
