I have a 06 Yamaha apex gt I been seeing on here a lot about the code 12 the crankshaft sensor go a lot I was going to look at mine see if it was good here my prob were is it on the sled and I was going pick up a crankshaft sensor so I can have one on hand I found one on rmstator.com are they parts any good or r they junk and r they plug and play or do u have to wire them in

Speedo sensor is down on the left around the bearing to the rear of the clutch. That needs to be replaced also. I installed the one your looking at. It is on the right side behind the oil tank. Remove the stator cover and it is in there. It is not plug and play. You need to use the old plug. Make sure you check the gap of the old one before you pull it out. Magnetism makes it tough to pull that cover off.

You may need to open the holes on the new sensor to the back with a file or dremel tool to get it close enough.
