Mr Sled....you'll see for yourself, remove cover and put light under the tunnel by the drive shaft.......you'll see the light for sure. I think for trail riders this will take care of most wet foot......powder guys might have some more work to do. If you lift the sled and get your eyes under you'll see a 1/4 " gap about 10" long.
anytime I'm riding and stop to remove the left side clutch cover ......I only see water or dampness in the location Ulmer mentions and mostly under the secondary.

it does not cover it completely. Also there is a hole in the diecast for about a 3/8" bolt that should be plugged. If you stick a light under the sled you will see all the areas the water and snow dust is coming in.

The biggest "hole" is under the driveshaft.

Experienced wet left boot for the first time today. 14-20 inches of fresh powder...
Had lots of fun...But if not for my HMKs, it could have been a cold ride home...Still absolutely love this sled.

I am for sure going to try something like this before my next ride. I was in denial of LBS....until yesterday. Sub zero temperatures and a wet sock = a upset individual. I couldn't even untie my left boot because ice had totally built up on the laces.

Yeah, come on , guys...
The uber-grin still makes up for a few wrinkly toes!
Just try a few things to keep that water out. Leave it to TY'ers to solve the 'tough' issues!
