i have the ecp kit on my rx1 and i have all the vents taped off and weather stripping around all the edges i can see where where snow would get in but when i ride in deep powder for a while the filters still get wet and it runs like crap on wot till they dry out. i have k and n s with prefilters do they make a water proof prefilter or what do you guys think?

Mine were doing the same thing. I got rid of them and modified my air box and kept the larger main jets.

Sled Dog, Did you take any pics of the airbox mod?
I have been thinking about doing the same, the fine snow can be a problem.

Not yet I have to get the sled into the garage and it damn cold here right now -35C

Hey Sled Dog,
I'd be interested in a set of those pics and what you went with for jetting, spring color, needle settings, air screws?
I'm tired of having good days when it wants, and the days when its -20 or colder and nothing but ice dust freezing the carbs.
I still have my stock box and would like to try that for these deep snow days in Northern Alberta.

Even good instructions on what you have done.

I started a thread called modified RX1 Airbox all the pictures and jetting will be there. I wont post final mods until I am absolutely sure I got it right. I dont have a dino so I am going by seat of the pants performance, racing sleds that beat me or were close at now I am beating them or giving them a better race and of course the all important spark plug color.

Thanks Sled Dog,
I wouldnt have looked over in the mod section. Keep me up todate on what youve done. Really like to ride without issues in the fine powder we get.
Mtns I dont have a probolem with the filters.
