I am going with the 3" pitch drivers. Should I use the Whal or Yami? I thought I heard somewhere the Whals extrovert didn't line up correctly. Any truth to this?

Thanks,

J.

I just put 8 tooth Avids on my warrior , I hear 8 tooth in either wahl or avid is much better than the 7 tooth , My fingers are crossed .If they don't work out I'll be getting Stock Apex mtn drivers.

I will be going with the new maverick track which has the 2-1/4" lugs. I read somewhere this track would hit the front cooler if I went with the 8 tooth 3" pitch. What track are you using?

I did the Maverick track with a Vanamberg tunnel & Drop & Roll .You can see the drivers in this picture.

That is a sweat looking sled. I have seen some of the pics on the snowest forum. Very nice. I am sure you didn't have any troubles with the drivers on this one.

I would go with the yamaha drivers if you are using a 3" pitch track. They are "timed" so they wont vibrate. Just make sure you install then the right way! The whal drivers vibrate for quite a while untill the extroverts wear down. I have used 9 tooth 2.52" pitch for two seasons and 7 tooth 3" for one. 3" vibrate way more.

Thanks for the feedback. I will probably end up with the Yami drivers. They are only $58/ea which isn't too bad for the 3" pitch extrovert drivers. Only problem is they are back ordered until Nov 9. I will also get them trued on a lathe like I did with my old Wahl drivers. That seemed to help with the vibration.

Yup, can't go wrong with the yami drivers! They are the smoothest on this planet! ;)!

So do you think I should true the yami drivers or are they smooth enough from the factory that I could do w/o truing them? I would rather not if I can get away w/it.

Press them onto the shaft, then check for runout. If you're not happy then put them on the lathe.

if you want to use the newest track you need the yamaha

that 16 inch 162 track that is all the rage as i understand it may currently require the yammaha drivers to fit
I use wahls but on an Older Stock pubched out Track
