wondering what brand claimshells a 129" viper will fit. I was looking at blizzard and i called the factory and they said even with the angle part where the skis ride up in 122" max. and the viper is 125" specs.
wondering if a different brand has more room
what trailers are you fitting these into.

The issue with "cramming" is that you have no room to adjust and the sled needs to be parked perfectly every time. If there is any movement during transport there could be damage. If you ever want to haule a 136-137 class sled for a buddy you can't. I'd highly recommend looking at a 12' as the 10's are being dumped for a reason.

I have seen them in 10ft Tritons. I had mine in 10 ft Chilton last year. Now have 12 ft Triton. Nice being able to drive off front.

maybe a 11 foot would the next choice? is there any thing that will not fit in a 11'The issue with "cramming" is that you have no room to adjust and the sled needs to be parked perfectly every time. 12' is far more popular these days.
The Triton units have that front wall that projects forward just a bit to allow ski tips to fit inside.
I would just go 12'. I found a deal on a good used 14' Floe tandem. I'm not a fan of single axles on enclosed as the trailers start to get some weight when you cover them. Tandem with the narrow 12" tires gives that extra peace of mind.

I have become a believer in "the bigger the better" with most things. I have never bought any piece of equipment, trailer or tool where I have thought afterwards, "I wish I had gotten the smaller one!" That having been said, I ended up with a Triton car hauler for my sleds, and can haul five sleds, including four longtracks and still walk around inside. If you go with the 12'; it will give you a little extra room when loading, and maybe even extra room to haul some of your gear. I suppose the wheelbase wouldn't be appreciably longer, but it might even tow better. Not to mention, the re-sale will likely be better down the road.

The thing is i have a like new 10' Triton open trailer. was going to have blizzard make a cover until i found out it only be 122" as cannandale27 said seems they will fit in the Triton, But love to see some pictures of one in there. I know most are going with 12' foot trailers, but I don't think i ever have a longer sled in the trailer. But i would like a inch or 2 to play with. if for some reason I had to buy new then i would go with a 11' R&R hybrid. But rather just get a cover for my 2012 triton. I been looking for used tritons to buy take the cover off and put on my trailer and sell the trailer with no cover. But just want to confirm it will do the job

I have a LTX se, 137" and it fits in a triton clamshell with 3 inches to spare. Easily.

Brother has the f800 procross 129" in 10' triton. There's not much room, and he has c&a skis and the slides in trailer, maybe the deeper keel shapers and the glides make ski tip high enough to get farther into the nose of trailer? But bumper barely clears in the back. I would suggest 12' and sell the 10' or trade it.

I'll agree on not much room... a clamshell is far from want I wanted, let alone a 10 footer... but for $2K, for brand new with, assist ,guides, and track mats ,spare tire... I couldn't pass it up

10ft R&R, looks like the old style northtrails, fits fine. Limit I can see on this is the windshield, I have LXR height cat shield and it just barely touches the cover when parked just right. Anything lower, no issue, I could even move the sled up further, higher... then you got an issue!

Yup, I have a Viper LTX and an Apex XTX in the 10ft Triton Elite with Triton cap. The Viper is actually longer than the Apex. It surprised me that it was longer with the shorter track. It fits with a little flap rub when closing up.
You really should not have an issue with the shorter Viper at all.

If you are going to have a CAP made to enclose your Triton they make a custom ski pocket for a little more. I believe top Cap did that at a Haydays booth.
