I wanted to add some more airflow to my RX-1M hood. My black plastic side panels have been cut so most aftermarket vents I look at overlap the cut out area.
So, what vents fit nicely on the stock hood?
Does someone make something made exclusively for the RX-1 hood?
I opened up the louvered areas on both sides below and behind the hood where the rope starter would go if it wasn't electric start.
Does anyone have any other ideas (other than buying a lightweight hood)?
Why do you need so much venting? I installed 2coolairvents on the sides of my Rx-1 and that seemed to have helped it lots.
I was thinking of making a row of holes in the knee panles but just never got to it.
I have seen some kits on the cats that are just like car bras. couple of quick snaps in the corners and its on or off. Those you should be able to make up yourself quite easy. Some screen door material, leather or some type of edging and quick snaps.
Good idea. I do have a bunch of black heavy screen material but, I think I'd prefer a prefabricated vent I can stick, glue or rivet over the appropriate sized hole.
