I'm thinking getting 144 Woody's Signature Series or Mega Byte studs, 1.325 inch talk, 4-2 staggered and all double backers. I'm going try studs this year. Figure I'm losing too much hp with track spin and also our trails can get very icy here. anyone gave idea on cost and who's a good vendor to procure these from, and which model studs are best from Woody's?

I have used the Woodys signature series studs on several sleds for about 5 years now---the upside--they are stainless and they are cheap!! Downside---they are not hardened and with the amount of power from the Apex I have bent several of them--even with the tallest nuts!! Plus they seemed to wear fairly quickly. So IMHO I would go with the megabites if you are stuck on Woodys. I am going to Try SnowStuds Warthog studs this year--guarenteed no bending and a much bigger carbide tip. just my 2 cents

dont waste your money on the warthogs, i tried them in another sled, biggest piece's of crap i have ever seen, all the tips fell out, those studs were like ice cream, after 200 miles i wound up replacing everyone with woody gold diggers, those studs lasted 5000 miles and were in the sled when i sold it

X 2, I have always had good luck with Gold Diggers

Yes I have ran them too there junk. They use to be own by saber and now are called snow studs. The gold diggers and megabites are one of my top choices for dependability other then fastrack studs.
