guys iam looking for some good and bad feed back on turboing my xtx.what iam looking for is a realiable kit easy to install but if i want to do some racing i can turn it up a bit dump in some good fuel and rocket.there are so many companys out there now and theres are better than the rest.so i thought i would come on here and get honest feed back from the sledders who know from experience.its alot of money so i just want to be happy with the kit i purchase.i dont want a kit that produces gobs of power but your under the hood all the time.iam not a mountain sledder our elavation is 0-5000ft.also guys i dont want to get into a bunch of motor work for high boost but a head shim and head bolts are in my budget if its a must for reliable issues.i know there improving these kits every year so i would like the best up to date company on this issue.thanks for your time.

Very happy with my baby-boost......MCX180. Great install, hardest part was finding a good welder.....1,000 trouble free km's.......no wrenching just riding.

Well its just what I chose and thats my MTX. If it was on my RTX, I am looking at MPI stg1 or and Ulmer kit.. I like the stand alone computer, largest fuel tank, and its a mid mount(fastest spooling imo). I wanted bigger boost on pump and thats what fit me best. I definatly would consider either Ulmer first, then a low boost (180 kit) next.

Dont forget, you want the best possible customer service!! Paul and Allen offer, what I think, is some of the best customer service out there. ;)!

Its seems to be a complete kit with no add ons but its alittle pricey too compared to low boost set ups. Does the head shim come with it? I see it is in options too but maybe just for high boost.

Head shim comes with the kit. Impulse has the best quality parts from what I have seen of it.

well, having had boost for a few years...there is nothing like it...all kits are NOT equal, and you almost ALWAYS get what you paid for....anything that is not north of $4k is going to cost you half that to get it dialed and smiled...

If you have a reputable builder near you...whatever he goes with, go with it...

It took me a full year+ to learn everything I needed to know to dial mine in...Which can be INSANELY frustrating if you have not played with engines and electrical and boost...which I had not...

So, if you know boost, clutching, electrical, engines, etc. then rock on...

If you dont...be very careful buying low ball stuff...anything that doesnt have Air Fuel Gauge (unless buying a closed loop system) and doesnt have a boost gauge, spend the extra to get them...it is MORE than worth it...otherwise it is like trying to tune a 2stroke without a tachometer...

Just some suggestions...

all that being said, cant imagine not having boost now...

so who has a complete kit that has been tried tested and true.thats what i dont want something that takes half the winter to figure out.iam willing to pay for the clutching also to make it all work togeather.iam not looking for the cheapest kit out there actually iam more intrested in a high end kit with adjustable boost i would like to have 200hp in trail form 91 octain then 280 to 300 on q16.but mabie this is not a reliable option iam not sure.also would like to know how much hp you can put to the stock motor.thanks guys i know iam asking alot of questions but i just want the facts and spend money wisely.these kits are alot of money.

I believe Impulse, Ulmer, and MCX are very complete kits and can be tailored to each person, just depends who you buy the kit from.
