Hey guy's, my brother inlaw is giving me his 1996 Polaris 600 XLT with the long track and only 1000 miles on it for free, and I have to just get it shipped from Steamboat springs Colorado to Oxford Michigan. Does anybody have any idea's on how I go about getting this thing shipped to me ? My brother inlaw is out there with the sled right now and he is doing some checking there, but I thought with all our members on here that someone would have maybe done this before. Thanks for any input in advance.

For $3,000 I'll pick it up for you personally and hand deliver it... might take a few weeks though.
Sorry... couldn't resist...

if you can build a crate around it while the sled sits on a pallet, then DHL will ship it "ground" . I work for DHL and we ship any and everything. Just make sure it is solid and secure. Also youd have to bring it to a DHL terminal, and make sure there is no gas in the tank.

Nice, a FREE SLED!!!! If you're not in a real big hurry, you might want to see if you can contact a local freight broker....Basically these guys help independent truckers fill their trucks when they have a partial load going from A to B...You might be able to get it shipped for two or 300 bucks....just a suggestion. Good Luck.

The company's name is Daily Direct. Not sure if they would move a snowmobile but we use them a lot for moving motorycles all over the country. Give them a call!

Just get on Snowest, there's lots of people coming out to the mountains every year to go riding. Bound to be somebody that will help you out for a couple hundred and at least get that sled close to you, Ken.

The news just keep's getting better and better, I just got a call from my brother inlaw out west on vacation and he said if I know of anyone who could pick these sleds up and tow them home on the 2 place enclosed trailer, I can have everything.....
They have another sled on the trailer with my brother inlaws and the guy that owns it does not want it back, they said if I could get out there and tow them home they would give them to me for nothing just to get them out of there.
So now I am looking for anybody driving back from Colorado that would like to make a few bucks, I would just do it myself but I have missed way to much work already. If anyone know's of anybody out in Colorado that is heading towards Michigan anytime soon and can pull a couple of sleds with them, please have them send me an e-mail. jpomante@lear.com
or just pm me.
This sight truely does rock.
