Brand new sled...3 miles on it. What do I need to change to go ride in 4000-7000 ft of altitude in the black hills of South Dakota? Currently at 1621 elevation.
Thanks!

The manual says in bold italics "Notice: the drive chain gears and v clutch belt should be adjusted when operating above a high altitude of 900 meters (3000 ft). Consult a Yamaha dealer."
Not the case?

They say that because there is less oxygen up there so you sled will have less power and you can somewhat compensate for that less power with clutching adjustments or/ gear changes. The computer will compensate for the less oxygen and run fine unlike a carbureted sled that may need jet adjustments. I am thinking unless your are trying to get the very most out of the sled and slaying the big hills and hitting the high marks I wouldn't mess with it.
