What do YOU carry on the trails?

I always bring small jumpers, tow rope, extra small tool kits, flashlight, extra quart of 4-stroke oil (3 years and still never opened it) LOL and a rattle siphon hose. Can't count the number of times one of my buddys or a person on the side of the trail is out of gas. Great way to help someone in need on the trail ( I guess its a carma thing, if you give helpl you will get it and if have something with you, you wont need it.) Only trail problem with my 03 shorty was a REALLY BAD trail + a little to much speed = a balled up heat shield under the front of the skid. Dropped the skid on the side of the trail to remove the pieces. No damage, 30 minutes on the side of the trail and a good story to tell with my buddys later.

Nice to have a couple of pairs of disposable med/surg gloves. You can wear them to wrench - they save your hands and they are mandatory for (God forbid) an accident involving blood.

Here's my list:
tow strap; leatherman tool; small ratchet w/14mm socket (far easier than stock "plug wrench"....use as extender for stock tool); extra plug socket for other guys, if needed; extra gloves; extra balaclava; mag lite; waterproof matches; hat; ski cap; original tool kit; one spare set of plugs; small amount of tape (although this has to be changed out regularly in really cold weather). All of this fits easily in the tank bag combo with the 2 side bags. Room for all sorts of odds and ends. Usually keep a small bottle of water and maybe some snacks too, but those go inside every evening.
