I have a 07 Phazer FX. I aways carry tools, extra belt, etc and I need somewhere to put all this stuff. I tried a backpack which is ok but after a long day it starts getting hard on the back. I just got one of those windshield bag and I just got a used Tool box for the back that will hold my belt and tools. Has anyone ever tried a tank bag on a Phazer and did it get in the way or anything? When me and buds go out for a day we go way back in the bush and we like to carry canned refreshments, hot dogs, etc so some extra room would be good. Has anyone tried saddle bags? Thats my only 2 choices left for more room that I know of is the tank bag and saddlebags unless you have another one? Let me know and thanx for your help.

i have the wibndsheild bag,the front nose bag wich holds the belt and tool kit,and when we do an overnighter i have a set of yamaha saddlebags that work great,so it leaves the stock storage rear box empty,so i fill it with as much stuff as i can, tools or black tape, zip ties, whatever i feel can help me in case of a breakdown

Are the saddle bags removable?
Wow that sounds like alot of storage but is it? Are the saddlebags removable in between long trips ? Do they secure to the sled so that if you start jumping around they don't bang all over? Whats the front nose bag? I have never heard of that one. K get back to me and thanx for the help

the nose bag is in the yammi accesories catalogue,it fits nicely in between the a arms and you dont even see it hardly, the saddlebags are just tied down, dont think they are meant to jump, but there are alot of options for saddlebags,i have a strap that goes around the black box so it cant go forward and then,2 cam buckles on the side of the tunnel

How much storage are they good for...
Thanx cubby and pat for your information. I am wondering how much does each piece hold? Also, if I put them on are the permanently on and will they interfere with my cover when I put it on? So do you guys carry a back pack still or is that storage you have enough for you? Have you guys seen or tried the gas tank storage bag? Is the trunk bag the one that goes on the end of your seat? Thanx again

I got the same tail bag as Cubby for $44.95, I take mine off when using the cover (the cover's a tight fit as it is). The bag goes on in less than 1 minute with 2 riveted clips, 2 others & will hold quite a bit.
The front tool bag is for the belt + tool kit but once it gets packed in with snow/ crap it's pretty much useless to get at it...
It fits everything I carry fine + you really don't even know it's there.

Yep everything pockchop said.
I store all my tools, spare belt, manual, flashlight in the OEM storage box. I only take the trunk rack when out for 200 - 300 kms ride. In it I have a spare litre of oil, fire extinguisher (you never know), first aid kit, extra gloves, and drinks/snacks.

Nice..thanks for the advice.....
K so if the back bag and the saddlebags then just pop off then I think that is the way I will go. I don't think you can ever have to much storage room. In northern sask I always carry fire starter stuff,, survival food, etc and it adds up pretty quick. I saw the saddlebags on a phazer up at the lake last time a few weeks ago and it didnt look to bad. So you guys dont carry a backpack at all? All your stuff is in your other storage bags? Any idea on where to get those bags for cheap? Let me know fellow phazer dudes

I ride a 2007 Phazer GT. For storage I have the bag that tucks in by the windshield. Inside there I carry a first aid kid, flashlight, tape, extra pair of gloves and a spare balaclava. My tools and spare belt get carried in the factory tool box on the back of the tunnel. For longer day trips I also have the tank bag. It works good for carrying along some bottled water, snack bars, or whatever. It attached with two straps that go down around the bar above your feet and a short loop that fastens around the gas cap. It is possible to put the factory cover on with the tank bag but I usually take it off, it only takes a minute. Sometimes I still wear a backpack if we're going out on an overnight trip.

I got mine at Canadian Tire, Sidewind brand. This is the cheaper one with the straps as the other one has the form fit seat cover part that fits the traditional seat hump.
