I did some searching, what do you guys think about stud boy 6 inch shaper bars with the stock yamaha ski and no studs. I found them for 77 bucks.

Bergstrom 6" triples w/o studs or 8" with. You won't have to buy carbides every year...mine have lasted over 2 season and still look great. Worth the money and great customer service from Scott.

Ok i'll check them out too
Bergstrom 6" skegs with shims and ski savers is what Scott prescribed for the darting problems I described to him. Fast friendly service, quick shipping and the fit was nothing less than perfect.

Have you had the chance to try this set-up yet?
I ordered the same yesturday.
I placed the order by phone with Scott, super nice guy and very helpful, he is very passionate about his product.
He got me excited to try them out....cant wait.

Not yet but it is getting closer we got about 6" of snow today and it is still snowing. Will post my findings once I try them out.

I've used the 8" bergstrom triples with the shims and it helped a great deal. I've used the ski savers before but have broken a couple...once due to me tightening to much, and 2 from snagging something under the snow. They do work good but when they brake they act like an ice scratcher and throw snow everywhere...no big deal, just ripped them off.

I went with the 8" and ran the shims too, but i removed them to gain a little lake speed, the skis are showing some extreme wear though and I'm looking to replace the skis this season.MyOutdoors said:Bergstrom 6" triples w/o studs or 8" with. Let me quickly say that I removed the savers for the lake, not the shims! Sorry
