Ok so I keep seeing track pitch everywhere, but I have not been able to find a good explanation as to exactly what it is. Like I know my track has a 2.52" pitch, but I don't understand what the difference is between that and say 2.86". Another question is can a sled that is setup for 2.52 be changed easily to 2.86? I just noticed there are some new tracks and I have been looking at the cobra but I see there is now a ice cobra edition which sounds like it would make a good combination.

track pitch is the distance c/c between track windows. nytro's 121" 144" is a 2.52 pitch track a 146" track is going to have a 2.86" pitch to the track and most longer tracks these days come in a 3" pitch. when a sled that is set up for 2.52" pitch to change to 2.86 or 3" pitch you would need to change out the track drivers to the correct pitch or suffer damages to your sled, track or drivers.

Ok, that makes sense, figured it was something simple but I could not find it anywhere. thanks
