Hi
My venture RS 2006 does not turn well in turns.I put a set of woodys doolies and it helped but still can't corner well.I adjusted mt suspension a few 100 times withy no change.Right now my skie spring pressure is minimum the back is set up high and hard my front suspension spring is at normal.I put back my limiter strap to normal I have 1 inch pn tranfer rods.I ride two up all the time and the problem is quite a pain.I have no darting. When I turn the skies are cut sharp but we go straight????
Any suggestion I thank you in advance

FWIW Although my Vector is not the application you are asking for, here is a suggestion. I had similar issues/concerns on mine. Try to find someone with a takeoff set of Doo Dual Runner Pilot skis from around 2004-5 . They were horrible on the Doo and a lot were replaced. They made a huge difference on the Vector as I have it set for minimal ski pressure for my wife.

I got an 05 rage with 136 skid and i found my stock skis wanted to pull corners. So i ordered a set of ATS arrow skis from royal distributing in Ontario, Canada i got carbides mount kits and skis ski handles for about 400 cdn best investment in skis i ever made. They have to seperate short carbides hope this might help.

Curve Industries makes the Curve XS skis which are said to be the best thing running. There are quite a few guys on the site who run them, but hondo would be the one to talk to since he has both experience with the Venture and the Curve XS skis. Read some of his posts in the following thread:

I have a 05 Venture with Simmons Flexi-Skis. First time I rode with them after I put them on it was like riding a new sled, VERY happy ;)! its been 2 seasons and still VERY happy ;)! ;)! . I'm sure any of the decent after market skis will give you the same results.

I'm so happy with them as I'm in the process of buying a new 09 or 2010 and the dealer has agreed to swap them over to the new sled.

Thanks for your suggestions Now I had a guy tell me to put on a set of Pilot skis or Doo concave skis
The big issue I have is it does not turn on turns
Thanks again I really appreciate your input

Glenn please let us know what you pick I am also going to change skis and been looking for feedback.....One of my concerns is I need skis that are going to keep my front end up in the slush and deep snow....But good on the trails ....Thanks

For turning issues I would still say take a hard look at Curve XS skis.

They are similar to downhill parabolic skis which turn much easier than older "straight" style skis, and probably work on the same principle.

Hi there again I was reading about 40 post on aftermarket skis it has come to my attention that my skis are proberbly not my problem.I have stock skis with Woodys dual 6 inch carb runners my track is studded I have no dartting problem at all.The thing is mt sled with one or two people on will not turn in turns It will just push straight.
Now this maybe be a suspension set up MAYBE. Again I'm asking for your input on this issue.
Thanks again in advance

Dual carbides will take away most of the darting but will PUSH in the corners pretty bad. Just my experience with them.

I run Curves on my 2005 RS Venture and love them.

these carbides stop darting but are dangerous. I can't believe there is not some law suit going on them. The only go straight well, cornering Is sketchy.

Arrow skis track straight and turn when you want them. This ty advertiser has them with free shipping.

I am running Woody's dullies ( 6") and yes there is alot of push in the corners...i have used 6" single carbides and noticed alot of the same pushing , maybe not as much...I have done alot of adjusting with my suspension and have got it pretty good ..I was hoping that new skies would make the pushing in the corners disappear.........I wish there was a way to test differennt skis without spending $300- $500 and hopeing it's going to really improve the handling ...

I know what you mean but if you look at the different skis out there where to start on the other hand alot of post and people say it's suspension set up I tried different combination but never got rid of the no steer on turns.I did try a set of Pilot skis and same thing no turn.Like I said aldo we ride double 99% of the time 5300 miles so far great sled except for the no steer.
Thanks
