trying to clutch the revs down on this rx1 has become a headache trying to make sure im getting the proper weights and rivets seems to be difficult for some reason
trying to do Sled Dogs clutch setup with the 8FA-17605-10-00 weights with inner and outer 4.5 gram rivets,y-s-y spring.simple enough.
after giving up on online sites i phoned the local regina yamaha dealer and give him the weight part number, they cant find the number in theyre system but said they can get weights that come without rivets and they can install the rivets.rly?of all the things to not come up in file, the part i need, lol
ok so for my question, as far as seeing the Id markings 8fa 00 on the weight(wich both have)when i go to pick them up, how do i know its the 8FA-17605-10-00 weight instead of the 8FA-17605-00-00 and whats really is the differences?
only common sense thing i can think of is the 8fa 10s are 63.81 without rivets, adding the 2 4.5gram weights would make it 72.81grams is this what i can go by to ensure that i have the proper weights?
worse case scenario if they give me the 00s instead of the 10s it would add more weight and lower the revs a shade more than the 10s?

more weight makes less rpm and less makes more ..clutching is hard ,everything has many different combos and results

According to the tech pages on this sight for weights:
Weight #8FA-00 uses Duralon bushing
Weight #8FA- 10 uses a Vespel bushing
I think they went to vespel bushing in the 04 or 05 RX1 in
there weights, same weight though. Maybe this could be
throwing you off on the #'??? Not 100% sure on all
this but something to check into.

ya it's weird because 8fa-17605-10 is punch at 00
and in some section is write that 10 is only for vespel and tell it's 69.43

I need 63g I wish 10 is not 69g
someone can confirm?
if no confirmation I order 10 and scale it and wish it's 63g
