Just wondering if there is a setup that is preferred I do not want to get a hold of a piece of crap suspension!

So far from searching I know:

year 2000+ polaris Edge
-Walker evans will be stiff
-Ryde Fx preffered

Cat skid????

Ski Doo
SC10 III which I think is in the year 2004 and newer???

Thanks!

with the polaris skid any year edge is ok, just watch for what shocks it has. most edge skids had some form of a fox shock which are pretty good when set up correctly. if you get a pro x skid the 2003 and newer ones are preferred along with the ryde fx clickers. walkers can be good if you get them redone by a good shock guy, but stock they blow out too often. i would stay away from the cat skid, they use shafts that are too small and they oval rail holes way too often. i cant tell you which sc10 III to get, but i can tell you they are very good with the hpg shocks.

If you're talking about an Edge rear skid I'd say go for it. I'm not too keen on the Fox shocks to be honest with you, but they do apparently have good lifetime figures in the Edge skids.

The Cat skids are built slight other than the Thundercat applications. The Doo SC-10 II and III skids are VERY durable and the shocks seem to last forever.

I installed a 2003 Pro-X skid w/Walker Evans shocks into my RX-1 and I haven't looked back since. The price you mention for the skid you have found is indeed a good one.

The shocks are fox shocks pss, I guess there are pss2's, and 3's out now so I'm calling on the expert at jbshocks.com to see if these shocks can be made into what I want.

PSS's are decent shocks. The PS2's are very nice units and a replacement rear could be had for cheaps on a Polaris based forum no doubt. SnoWest has the rear shocks on there all the time; you could even upgrade to RydeFX's for minimal dollars without too much of an investment.

Good luck, there are a couple of guys who have installed 121" Edge skids on here and appear to have had good results. I swapped in a 136" version, so my dimensions won't work for you.
