Your Attak already has that spring! If you want real noticeable gain's Go with Ulmers airbox mod, ignition module,PC-111 and take 1 gram off your heel rivet and start with 1/2 gram off the center rivet. You want to come out of the hole after hook up at 10,500 and gain to 10,800 to 11,000 by 100 mph or so. If not there take off another 1/2 gram till you are there. It will be a whole new animal with throttle response like you have never felt before. This will cost you about $750 or so but is the best bang for the buck i have found. Contact Ulmer Racing and talk to Allan. Oh yes fuel economy is not effected IF! you can stay out of the throttle. LOL, kviper

thanks for your time all of you.
It doesn't affect your fuel economy and you don't have to drag for this this upgrade, he still avg's 16 to 19 mpg with this set-up and really wakes her up from hole to mid...its worth the try.
Now if you want some real GOOD advice on clutching give this guy a call he's the BEST in the biz in our area! http://www.gagnelessard.com/fr/coordonnees/index.shtml

Kviper, when you are talking about removing rivets, you are obviously talking about the stock clutching at this time? You have an Apex or Attack?

A long time ago Viper34 sent me this PM with this information...
The setting which set quickest time at Old Forge was no rivet inner, 3.6g middle and 3.6g outer, this was for 192 studs. This setting was quicker then all aftermarket kits on hard pack and soft."
What do yo think?

I have an Attak. I am not talking about removing the rivet, I am talking about using a gram scale and grinding one gram off the heel rivet and starting with grinding 1/2 gram off the center rivet. Allan told me to do one gram heel and one gram center and it is perfect for RPM but i don't have the ignition module i have a 3 degree timing key, That is why i would start with one gram heel and 1/2 gram on center rivet and work up to 10,800 to 11,000 with the thought that the ignition module with more timing may make a couple more HP on top. I have been told by many others and it has been my experience with these Apex's that the biggest gain's from clutching is in back shift. The Attak has the white driven spring in stock and with the white spring and some RPM tuning in a 121 it is about as good as it gets. My Attak is running very strong with this set up. kviperSledFreak said:kviper said:Your Attak already has that spring!
