What oil are turbo guys going to run?

I would recommend Mobil 1 15W-50 after your engine is broken in! It was designed for High Performance engines and it pumps down to -49 degrees.
I've been using it for the past ten years in many motorcycles and ATV's.
And it works very well, I intend on using it in my Warrior after break in.

I have read many tests on oil and this particular oil always does very well in tests. It is readily available in local stores also. Look for the RED CAP 8)

Hey Bob, I'm curious as to if you've run that weight oil in cold weather? 50 weight is some thick stuff...

I once tried Castrol Syntec 10W50 in a full sized Blazer we had. It seemed ok, but my gas milage went way down! Since I've been running Amsoil, I haven't had any similar problems though. Which is why I'm curious!
What weight does Yamaha build the motor for?

VMaxjohn in one of the tests I've seen where the Mobil 1 15W-50 was up against four other brands of oil and it came out on top! It was ten percentage points above the Castrol Syntec 5W-50 which came in second.
You'll notice if you look at the container of the Mobil 1 15W-50 it reads: "Pours at -49 degrees"
You won't find any conventional oil including Yamalube 5W-30 winter formula that can make that claim! Because there either petroleum or a blend.
Mobil 1 15W-50 is widely used in racing because it can stand extreme heat and maintains its viscosity extremely well in high revving engines! And in our case with snowmobiles it works well in extreme cold!
I use it because it is a very good oil, it is readily available, and the price is right! Like I said; I've used it for ten years, and in the winter in ATV's without any problems, and I will use it in my Warrior. 8)
