That is the kind the last owner used,but I was thinking about using something different. amsoil seems a bit expensive for oil that is only used about 1000-1500 miles for me a year then take it out again.
Its pretty cheap to run the best as you only change it once a year.

Mobil 0W30 full synthetic or Castrol 0W30( in Canada on sale at Canadian Tire often) full synthetic. Whatever 0w30 full synthetic oil that's on sale as long as it's a brand I have faith in. Tried Amsoil 0w40, seemed to burn a little more oil than the others so I don't use it anymore. There are alot of opinions out there, so go with the one you like most.

not to hyjack... but would a full synthetic cause less carbon build up? I have been running semi syn and have seen a dramatic increase in carbon buildup as more miles are added to my sled and wondered if full syn would free things up.

Mobil-1 0W-40, like Thrasher, I have had consumption issues running Amsoil engine oil products.
