What skis are in your avatar? They look like SLP's....
SLP Powder Pro's but I sold them before the season started cause I thought the keel was to aggresive and thought the Slydogs would work better.

Here is the deal.
After riding this thing this past weekend all I wanted to do was sell it. All I've done is long track it, and put Slydog ski' on.
What could possibly be making this sled so unpredictable steering and heavy heavy steering? Allen you have the same set up as me so what have you done to your suspension set up on the NON RTX to make it not feel like it is a tank?? I could never take one hand off the handlebars EVER....
Huh, last night I rode one handed without any problems for 10 minutes or more because my left hand was frozen ! (-12-15C) Looks like we're both having issues....

I put 100 miles on this weekend and have the slydogs and added dual woody 6" carbides to them. Very scary on hard packed roads, had to lighten front suspension to 50psi to get rid of the woble.(they bite HARD) Work extremely well on the trails with no darting, rear is still stcok. I think set up right the slydog skies with dual carbides will be great...
I put 240 miles on a set of C&A Razors this weekend. My rear suspension is set as it came from the factory and the floats are set at 65psi. I have not ridden it at all with the stock skis.
If I am going to continue to use the Razors I am going to have to do some tuning... As it is now the sled pushes like a dump truck thru basically any corner, hardpack or loose powder. Some of this is due to the weight transfer of the skid but it still pushes bad completely off the gas. I am going to pull up the front limiter 2 positions and try it there, sounds like some guys on here with more mileage on their sleds have had good luck with that change. What bothers me is the reason they changed it was to lessen the transfer, not to improve the cornering. Seems like most others are happy with the corner bite they have stock, not sure what is going on with mine...

Paul, I think the thing you are going to have to do is ride this weekend with your stock ski's and see if you are able to ride it. That is why I am not in a huge hurry to go changing stuff before it is even ridden. There is no such thing as the 'best' of anything...you have to factor in preference, riding style, riding capabilities, set-up, terrain, .....

if you guys are trail riding, you cannot go wrong with the pilots. they make a huge difference over stock.

I'm running the C&A Razors. They felt good in loose snow and in hard pack. I still have yet to run them in hard-hard-groomed conditions which is where the 4 stokes seem to have issues with darting. I do need to dial in my suspension some front and rear. I will post more info as I get more seat time. So far head and shoulders over the narrow stock skis.

I have Pilot skis with 6 inch shapers in the middle on My Wifes Nytro and the front end feels a little too light. I would like to shorten the front limiter strap to put more weight on the skis. So far the Pilots on the Nytro feel just like they do on My Apex, very easy to steer with absolutely no darting or hunting up front. They might not be as aggressive as other skis but they won't dart or wear you out either.
