Just interested in hearing some opinions. I weigh probably around 280lbs at 6'4 and I need some input on suspension mods to stiffen up this rear end.

It is a 07 Phazer GT. So far I have installed the stiffer torsion springs from the FX, Custom Pro-Action rear shock with remote and an Ohlins front coilover. I do not have this new link that is in the newer models which is a concern when modding this because I dont want to break anything.

I have the X-Click billet 4-posistion blocks coming soon, and I have already installed the mickey mouse anti-bottoming kit.

Short of installing the Quick-twist kit from Hygear, I'm out of ideas. Im a canuck so I lose big time with shipping charges.

i think if u bring it to a yamaha dealer they will upgrade that link but i could be wrong

you are bigger than me by 40 or 50 pounds, but i run my xtx torsions springs heavy - i run the rear shock from full soft to 3 clicks out - and i put a lot of preload on the center shock - if you run little preload on the center it will kill you. make that center work harder - i've also heard of guys running a heavy shock on the center spring to force some of the front forces to the rear torsion springs - which are pretty heavy if you start looking at spring rates - i tend to bottom too much if i don't run the torsion springs heavy.

and you will break the front arm and the link if you dont have the 08 parts in it - just a matter of time.
