What to expect out of a 2006 Apex RTX

I just got a 06 RTX this fall, coming from an 01 MXZ 800 what changes can I expect, and what differences will I notice between the two sleds.

Smooth arm stretching torque. They take the bumps like a champ and very stable over the big stuff at higher speeds. Fairly flat cornering. I changed from an SRX to the Apex and the cornering is very comparible. Engine braking takes a little getting used to. The rear exit exhaust is so cool. No more stink and it is a little quieter of a ride. Throttle response is incredible, very touchy at low speeds.
It's like a crotch rocket on snow.

I have friends who have MXZ 800's and have ridden the Apex and did not want to give it back.

You WILL love it.

More aggressive ride, better handling, higher speeds threwout,

One thing for sure.. You are going to have a HUGE smile after riding it..

The mxz 800 is a pretty fine sled, they handle and ride pretty damn good, and they are light. Other than the 800 twin engine is'nt real durable. The apex is a better sled for sure. All pluses for the apex, except the you might feel the weight a little more trying to manuver in deep snow and of course lifting it.

Ive had an 01 mxz8 as well as 2 REV's and now an 06 RTX.. I REALLY like the RTX , its a pleasure to ride and the Fox Floats are awesome on this sled. Coming off the ZX chassis ski doo I think you'll have a difficult time wiping the smile off your face.

I have a 2002 MXZ 800, and now a 06 RTX.

The suspension and ride will impress you over a 2001!

You will have to work much less to have a faster ride.
