I'm doing a setback with the ZX-2 suspension in my Apex. I am currently at 144" and I am looking at either a 151" or a 153". Aside from the obvious difference in lengths, which of the following tracks will shine in the listed conditions.
I can get a brand new 15x151"x2" 2.52 Series IV (made for Polaris by camoplast) for what I consider a decent deal. I also see a lot of new 15x153"x2.25" 3.0 pitch Maverick take offs for even less money.
Either way, I will go fully clipped with extrovert drivers. Is one track better than the other in deep mountain snow. (Climbing and boondocking.) Will either track outlast the other for occassional trail riding such as in the UP with a lot of boondocking?
I see a lot of people taking off brand new Maverick tracks and opting for something else. Is there an inherent problem with these tracks? They seem to be giving them away for a song and a dance on Snowest. Is there really a big atvantage with a 3.0 pitch over a 2.52 pitch?
Any input is appreciated.
