I have a 2008 apex ltx gt with 5000 miles. This sled has been great to me, and have owned since new. I have an opportunity to trade it in for a 2013 xtx 1.75 nytro. I am liking the more forward aggressive position. THe dealer said he would sell me the new nytro for 6500 difference, plus tax of course...
I don't want any loans etc, but at the same time next year that difference will be even greater.
Your opinions?

Do you like the Nytro/ FX chassis better than the Apex chassis, that is the question......

The right time to sell your used sled is now. This is when you will get top dollar. Have you researched the value of your old sled and considered marketing it yourself? Are there any left over 2012's available in your area? If you care to take the time, you might be able to do much better. "Sell high - buy low".....

- Your '08 should pull in around $8250 if sold private.
- That, plus $6500 would have you paying $14750 before taxes!?!?!
- '13 Nytro xtx's are sitting around $11500 here in GTA.
- Dealer isn't giving you enough for your 08 in my opinion.
- I'd try to sell it private then go in with no trade and cash.

Do you plan to ride mostly off trail? 2013 xtx 1.75 nytro shines in powder & lots of loose stuff to keep those slides lubed. I'm not familar with the snow conditions or trails in your area but if riding ruff stuff &or deep powder 2013 xtx 1.75 nytro wil do much better than Apex LTX+ you get the tuner skis stock.

There is no possible way in heck he's going to get $8250 for his Apex.
I'd keep the Apex for a $6500 trade difference. It's like their giving you about $5 G's for you '08.
