Just wondering what the average going price is for a set. Dealers are charging retail of around 160 bucks for a set here. I need a couple of things for my nytro like a seat cover maybe a ball joint and a set of sliders so a order from the states might be a little more reasonable with all those combined.

Last time I just put the standard wear ones from yamaha but I only got about a thousand Kms on them last winter. Winter before when I bought the sled I put 2,000 on the standard wear and what ever the previous owner had on them. (Claimed they were original so that would be 4,000 Kms total on that set) just debating what to do. No snow here yet to speak of so I've got a bit of time to figure it out.

Screwed that title up I see lol. Darn small keys and fat fingers on a iphone lol.

Thanks for the info everyone. That's a pretty good price by the looks of it. Powersports 1 is the only other place I saw when I was browsing this afternoon that was close. They were 55 each. Guess it comes down to who will actually ship to the great white north.lol..

When I asked my old dealer about these he said personally if he was paying someone to do them everytime he'd use the dupont's doing it himself he would use the regular wear ones. Personally I'd kind of like to do it once and forget about it for a while. Make it more like my 98 700 xtc. Once every track change.lol..

Thanks

Ryan

Thanks to ty4stroke I found some on Ebay last year for 75.00 a pair. I probably wont find a deal like that again

I debated goign to duponts and many ppl have complaints about them as well. get the wheel kit from excell and the cheapo $10 a piece ones. I got 1200 miles on mine last year and i measured them and they are at 60% left still. most do say that with the oem cheap ones the wear of the first 20-30% is fast, then you get to the wheels making more of a difference and it slows down, almost stops wearing IF you have the larger/4th wheel kit. Dupont inserts are a great idea but not an ultimate answer for many to change them every track change but maybe every 2-3k miles from what I was reading with the smaller oem yamaha wheels. Best of both worlds would be to do the slides and wheels.

I put new ones on again this year since the skid was out and plan to keep them in for 2-3 years if not more. Use the old slides cut into 14" sections for traction on my trailer.

Just ordered 8, 135mm Ski Doo idlers, new upper and rear wheels, new Duponts (2nd pair in 1000 miles), coupler bushings and am having both skid shocks rebuilt. My sled is an 09 xtx with only 4000 miles, and most of the bearings were shot along with a few of the idlers and wheels. My Duponts aare showing concave type wearing near the back of the rail by the rear idlers. Have run a few different type of scratchers, but still have had some issues with overheating and this slide wear. Hopefully my new set up will solve these problems, and I'll be able to grease the bearings without having to replace wheels now.

Thanks to Grizz, and this site, for all the help!!

Oh.....$100 for Duponts

$110 + 6 Excell wheel kit-
Bit the bullet for a known issue, 700 miles so far w/ no problem.
