Poor Farmer , order some wheels from Rec Supply ( 004-4135-20) out of Saskatoon or Royal Distributing, 135mm wheels and they look like the Yamaha spoke wheels that are already on the sled , uses the same bearing. You only need to change the outside wheels, doesn't hurt to leave the stock inner wheels at the front shock. I added wheels to my MTX because it came with just scratchers. I left the front shock wheels in there and added 6 on the outside of the rails, and installed white sliders from Yamaha. 1600 miles so far and I have no plans on changing them this year. Wife's sled got 4 wheels and graphite sliders from Rec and she has the same miles and same wear as mine. Get the wheels and be like every other sled company when it comes to slider wear and replaceable bearings.
Bet the Viper doesn`t have as much slider wear now that it is a Cat skid in there unless Yamaha screwed around with the wheel size.

Just wondering what the average going price is for a set. Dealers are charging retail of around 160 bucks for a set here. I need a couple of things for my nytro like a seat cover maybe a ball joint and a set of sliders so a order from the states might be a little more reasonable with all those combined.
Last time I just put the standard wear ones from yamaha but I only got about a thousand Kms on them last winter. Winter before when I bought the sled I put 2,000 on the standard wear and what ever the previous owner had on them. (Claimed they were original so that would be 4,000 Kms total on that set) just debating what to do. No snow here yet to speak of so I've got a bit of time to figure it out.

I just paid $130 from local shop, put them on and noticed every idler wheel was a 1/4inch or so away from the track? I didn't have time to go back to my local shop and went on trip to u.p. mi. I went right to Pat's in Greenland,mi and was telling him my problem and as I was telling him he walked to the wall and pulled off 4 Polaris wheels 5.38inch wheels and said that is some crazy idea Yamaha had, and if I leave the stock ones on the slides will just wear half way down till the wheels touch, $22 each put them on in the parking lot ran 600 miles got home and pulled it back in shop, thought check everything out and slides looked like brand new yet

Putting larger wheels (proper sized) on a Yamaha has been done since Christ was a baby. I am sure every year when Yamaha does their testing in some remote area they run across a guy that tells them to use larger wear to fix the slider problem, they agree with the guy and laugh as he drives away knowing if they fix it they won't sell as many sliders . Parts is money. I bet they get tons of emails every year telling them how to fix it. I had a good laugh when Yamaha said they came out with a game changer with tipped up rails and replaceable bearings. Polaris beat them to the tipped up rail idea and everyone beat them to the replaceable bearing in the idlers by probably 20 years.
I always laugh when I hear guys say Yamaha fit and finish is better then the other brands, after working on every brand of sleds for the last 15 yrs they are not that much different. There no Rolls Royce by any means. They have some nice ideas and also some stupid ideas but so do the other 3 brands.
