No, you don't shim the skis. You just have to drill a hole in the front of the ski. The directions are really easy to follow. They work great and I bought a secone pair and will be buying a runner replacement when I need one.

I ended up purchasing a set of Curve ski's at the T.O. sled show this past fall, with all the reading I did about stockers and duallies, I decided to give them a shot as I couldn't beat the price.
