Trying to decide between suspension upgrades or going with a supercharger. I have most of the makings of a MPI supercharger. Just need a few parts form MPI to finish it up($1500.00 USD) worth of parts. I also am considering holding off on that for some suspension upgrades. Looking at an a/c 153 float skid and going with some a/c sno-pro front floats. Not sure on what I should be focused on.....power or rideability...... Opinions???? Thnaks

I wont be much help because I'm new to the nytro scene. Just picked up a stock 08' and I'm itching to throw boost at it first. I had an RX-1 for a season and was always defending my "4-stoke boat anchor" until one of the last rides of the season at Mnt. Saint Helens Washington. Everyone else was on 800 / M1000 2-strokes and I hated my damn rx-1. Couldn't make half the hills, stuck stuck stuck all day long. One of the guys felt so bad for me he let me ride his e-tec skidoo for about an hour. That's when I relized it was the sled not the rider, I made nearly every hill I tried, sled was so much easier to throw around and jump. I'm not kidding I sold my RX-1 within the next two weeks.
Ok so why did I say all of that? Because I've always loved the Nytro and I demo'd a supercharged one during the 2010-2011 season. It was heavy but it had the power to make up for it. So with the one I have now my first plan is to turbo it or I just know I'm going to strugle to like it. If it's everything I'm hoping for power wise then I'm going to do the upgrades, suspension, etc. One step at a time. Where we ride it's pretty aggressive, steep and deep and no one wants to be the guy everyone is waiting for. I'm hanigng on to my 09' 800 Dragon 163 until I see how the nytro pans out. I really am hoping for the best. Good luck on your build, if you do go ahead and SC it make a new thread and take lots of pics of the build!

Your in the mountain section and from NH, so a supercharger and turbo may not be the best mod for $1500. I say this because we have a lot of trees and harder snow, so gobs of power is not always needed. Not sure what you have done though. I would consider a lighter skid that does not fill with snow. Our wet snow fills the skid and it sinks. Also, on HCS in the Maine forum somebody is selling a float skid for I think 700.
I hear ya on the power but I am coming from a SC'd Warrior and a Summit 800 for the last few years. I didn't get much of a shot at running this thing off trail last season due to the lack of decent snow but I do hate how flat this sled gets in the higher speeds.

Two things I will never live without. Boost and a long track with a good suspension. Boy was I a lot of help. I myself would deal with a not so great ride and go with the boost. There is nothing like pulling those skis at 50 mph.

Yeah, Boost it first. Then get the other stuff figured out.

I have never had boost, but it sounds like I should. My sled only does 80 tops.

no question get the boost first. after you get it you will try and figure out why you even questioned it.

It is all about your own priorities and the terrain you ride. If you have got loads of vertical chutes and open space, the stock horsepower is nowhere near enough. On the other hand, if you are only doing technical riding between trees, the horsepower means nothing.
