i don't have a rattle but more like a popping sound. sounds like i could have a crack somewhere. an 03 with 6000 miles i better check it out.

Exhaust leaks
I had a similar problem on my 05. Y-pipe between the header pipes and rear exhaust busted at 6400 miles. Brought to dealer and they will replace, no questions asked. I have the extended 5 year warranty. A couple years ago I had an 03 with 5500 miles and every weld in exhaust had cracked. Dealer had it welded under warranty. That sled had 5 year warrany also. Hope this helps.

I had it welded up and it's as good as new. $20
The only problem is my front pivot arm in the skid is now cracked. I'm going to bring it in for welding and more reinforcing tomorrow.

on my 03 i noticed it getting loud last week on my 7 day trip to quebec.first it cracked by the crossover,then it broke all the way.loud as hell but became faster than the 3 other rx1 's i was with.rode it like that for 5 days.has any one welded these back together with any success?
man oh man rex sorry 'bout your luck , but i gues nice to know i'm not the only one still having all these issues. had my sus. fixed 2 weeks ago just to take it back in this week for broken flex pipes on my exhaust.
