I have a 04 warrior that was less then impressive to begin with. I have been riding yamaha for about 8 years and consider myself to be brand loyal.
I believe that the issues are all related to the dealer. My questions to you are
1. what is the realistic top speed for a warrior with about a 1100 miles on it. I did follow the reccomended brak-in for the sled.
2. how long should it take to reach the top speed. I have seen 118 mph on the lake after about 3 miles
3. has anyone expeirences fowling while operating at trail speeds ( i believe this is a sync issue).
4. what can i do short of a turbo to get more out of the sled.
5. i had several problems last year with overheating and was told that that the new sleds are prone to do that.
6. can anyone suggest a dealer that can make the stock sled sing, than i can do some upgrades.
does anyone have any info on the power kit from the speed shop? waht about exhaust?

I see your new to the TY web site. Welcome aboard. Do you know Rick Ruldolph? As for your Questions. I saw 122 on my speedometer. It read 122 when I had 100 miles on the sled. Not too bad considering I weight 255 lbs. Also 122 MPH when I had 1500 miles on the Warrior, and 122 when I had 3,000 miles on it. So it never got better as it broke in. Fuel milage also stayed a constant 16 MPG, no matter how many miles were on the sled. Actual speed was 107 according to my GPS. I have had no fouling of my sled. Put Freddies filter kit (ECP) on and you will see alot more low end power.

Installing the Holtzman carb springs in my Warrior I gained about 5-10 mph on the high end.
Only about 30 bucks for this upgrade.

yamawarrior-
I have seen 123 on the speedo, and 109 on radar. This was with about 500 miles on the sled. I haven't had an opportunity to get a run in similar conditions again. This was on ice with a slight dusting of snow. I have had 0 issurs with overheating riding in temps from -20 to +50 in all ranges of conditions.
I got my sled from Brownell's which is north of Troy. Sounds like some of your issues are setup related, give them a try.
